Worlds With their 2025-26 European tour, 4Worlds jazz quartet brings together Danish violinist Line Kruse, Senegalese guitarist Hervé Samb, French bassist Gilles Coquard, and Guadeloupean drummer Arnaud Dolmen. Paris-based ensemble 4Worlds blends Nordic jazz, Senegalese sabar rhythms, manouche traditions, and Caribbean percussion in their unique “jazz mélé” style.

Line Kruse – Violin & Composition (Denmark), Danish violinist and composer Line Kruse blends Scandinavian jazz with Latin American music traditions developed through extensive work in Argentina and Cuba. Graduate of Copenhagen’s Royal Academy of Music, she has collaborated with Gotan Project and leads the Line Kruse Orchestra. 

Hervé Samb – Guitar & Composition (Senegal), Senegalese guitarist Hervé Samb pioneered “Jazz Sabar,” fusing traditional sabar drumming with contemporary jazz. Born in Rufisque, Senegal, his collaborations include Marcus Miller, Oumou Sangaré, and Salif Keïta.

Gilles Coquard – Double Bass (France) French bassist Gilles Coquard moves between symphonic orchestras and jazz clubs, bringing innovations from European new jazz and manouche traditions. He collaborates with the Picardy Symphony Orchestra while maintaining active jazz projects including Soul Cages Trio


Arnaud Dolmen – Drums (Guadeloupe) Guadeloupean drummer Arnaud Dolmen earned “Révélation” honors at France’s Victoires du Jazz. A ka drum specialist, he bridges contemporary jazz and gwoka traditions. Albums include “Tonbé Lévé” (2017) and “Adjusting” (2022). Awarded twice by Les Victoires du Jazz.
